Yesterday I viewed Oprah’s show featuring Michael Moore’s “Sicko.” They reported that health insurance is in crisis, and that people are not insured against serious, expensive procedures. Once again, media is misdirecting our attention away from the real issues. Oprah, I love you, but shame on you for being part of that!
There were several examples presented on the show of people who had this or that problem, and they were unable to get their insurance company to pay for the outrageously expensive and questionably effective medical procedures that accompanied their conditions. One of them died before the show aired … Several people eloquently debated the causes and solutions to the INSURANCE crises …
… not a single word was spoken about the true and basic solution to all of this …
… becoming healthy was completely overlooked.
It has been my experience as a researcher, student and writer of natural health practices and procedures that each of the people who were featured as an example of the insurance crisis was in that situation as a result of their own destructive choices. They had followed the paths that led to their diseases. Through ignorance, and an attitude that they could do anything they wanted and their doctors would then repair the damage they had done to themselves, their lifestyle and eating practices resulted in that which is obvious to the informed — life-diminishing illness.
So, let this be your wake-up call! If you destroy your health, you are screwed! Doctors cannot help you unless you help yourself. At the very most, they can only delay the inevitable. Even if they could, your insurance apparently isn’t going to pay for it anyway.

Oprah, why haven’t you been telling us about this, which we can all directly control instead of that which we really cannot do anything about anyway? Even if we had the perfect insurance program, and all health care was 100% funded, people are still going to suffer and die from their ignorance of how to be healthy.
