Does “The Right To Know” Belong To Citizens of a ‘Free’ Society

Do you recall the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights? You know how valuable they were thought to be–right? They were an integral part of my country. Their creation was a component of a brilliant, albeit futile attempt to create a truly democratic society in the great new land called America. It was an endeavor that has, sadly, flopped.

Although I applaud the founders of the United States of America for their endeavors, they failed to take into account at least two heavily ingrained human factors: SELF-ishness and Apathy. Individually, these traits are annoying; combined, they are catastrophic.

To elucidate my point: During the formation of the Constitution, selfishness was very much in the game, but apathy was absent among the founders. This was true to the level that they were willing to go so far as to give their lives for their principles. They even believed in freedom so much that they were willing to grant it to others–even religious freedom.

According to historical accounts, there were four popular religious ideals among the founders: Christianity; Athiesm; Agnosticism; Deism. Because the members of these dogmas were motivated to create feasible solutions and arrive at mutually accepted agreements, religious freedom and separation of church and state were incorporated into our constitution. Had apathy been existing, it is likely that Deism would have dominated, and may have been designed into our government. Although the Christians slightly outnumbered the Deists, the founding fathers who were Deists tended to be the more commanding members of the organization. Present-day Christians, Athiests, Agnostics and all other religions in the United States can credit their freedom to worship (or not to worship) respective to their own beliefs to the tenacity and conviction of the differing groups. Had they apathecally “caved” to the selfishness of the Diests, our rights of religious freedom would not have been important.

Clearly, religious freedom is an area in which there is still much passion. All through the historical past of our land, different social groups make frequent tactical attempts to manipulate and regulate this area to their own selfish gain, but the people have rallied around the Constitution, even though their sympathies may have gone to the tenet that was attempting to have power. Sadly I must say, this has NOT been the case with the freedom of speech.

Perhaps it began with an incident where someone shouted “Fire!” in a packed theater, resulting in many people being harmed by their frantic attempts to flee before being incinerated. The ruling came down that this was not the objective of of the First Amendment guarantee, and that the person who did it could be charged of homicide on the rationale that such an action recklessly endangered the lives and well-being of others.

Though such a ruling definitely seems to make sense, the drawback has been that the ruling established a “fuzzy line” that has been getting wider and wider over the subsequent years. Protectionist organizations have been constantly exchanging the “caveat emptor” (let the buyer beware) mandate of old with what is rapidly becoming “Prove that it will not cause any harm, under any circumstances, ever!” before you can even mention it to others.” Since this is, needless to say, impossible to execute, we regularly add new governing agencies to keep track of and evaluate the levels of risk and damage that are inflicted by each new object or ingredient.

When the product or material indeed, turns out to be damaging, we all applaud the efforts and actions taken by these agencies. Who wouldn’t? Harm has been avoided! Lives have been helped! But at what cost?

Because of the monstrous costs of proving that something isn’t everything else, and the frightening consequences of not following the over-reaching laws imposed by the fearful, many, many super-valuable substances and objects and devices have not been permissible to be offered to the so-called “free” residents of the United States. The deprivation of many of these has resulted in considerable harm and death–many think that this far overshadows the positive aspects of protectionism.

My personal view is that we have the RIGHT to know, and to make personal choices about that which is supposedly beneficial, and that which is reportedly harmful–especially when both of those apply to one item.

In past years I too have been relatively apathetic about this point of view, thereby assisting to the fall of our free society. As of late, however, I have become associated with two great nutritional supplement products–BiAloe(R) and AloeFerrin 4(TM) (See http://wwea.com). Folks who are using these products are witnessing results which they are very thrilled about. They (and we) would like to share those experiences with others. This would support those who MAY benefit in the same or other ways to experiment with the products themselves to determine if there is or is not any benefit for them from the supplement use. What we reason that we know about the products is that they just provide very useful nutritional support to enable the natural structure and function of the body, and that it is the supported body that is producing the apparently remarkable results.

I appreciate that people who have been bombarded with drug commercials, and who have been shown to believe that doctors cure people from this or that become confused when a good, natural nutritional product contributes to their return to health. Many people construe those changes as having been “treated’ or “cured” when all that happened was that their body was supported to function properly. This was absolutely the case with the predessor of BiAloe(R) called “Manapol.” Even so, I have been presented by my Creator with a mind and the aptitude to learn and use it. I am aggravated by the actions and regulations by protectionists who try to limit the ideas and information resources that are available to me, even if they are wrong. I feel that I, as you, have the right to know!

I appreciate the sentiment behind these words Bruce. I am in ‘it’ with you as we go on day by day doing our best to share about what is regarded by many as some of the best things this earth has to offer for the healthiest of immune systems
( http://abAloe.com/101.htm ) and our telling people about it could literally land us in jail. What are we living in, the ‘witch age’? It all seems quite backwards and against any enlightened thought, which is, if I may, where we’d like to be heading…
This backwards view is consistent to how, through the ages, the political minds have managed to control the people over very similar things. Makes me wonder about the validity of the energy some refer to as satan. I really do not want to honor the word by giving it a capital letter. I’d like to add that Dr Hew Len s’ ‘Ho Opono-pono’ does in fact rate capital letters here:)
